Despondence

My anger never ever served me well

It has locked me up in a personal hell

I remained out of tune with the world

Seething curses to which I hurled

Dejection enveloped me like a shroud

Depression bogged me down in the crowd

Decisions made without any thought

Many a dangerous peril they brought

It stings when others cross milestones

In life I stand where I stood for eons

To end it all won't make a difference to them

So I just go on with this flat lining rhythm
